Resize an image online
Drop in a photo and resize it by pixels, by percent, to a social preset, or down to an exact file size in KB. No upload, no watermark, no signup. It all happens in your browser.
Nothing is uploaded. Your image is resized right here in your browser and never leaves your device.
Resize an image without uploading it anywhere
ResizePad resizes your image right inside the browser. The file never touches a server, so there is no upload wait, no queue, and nothing stored on our end. Drop a photo in, pick how you want to resize it, and download. That is the whole tool.
Most resizers make you type raw pixel numbers or wait for a file to upload and come back watermarked. ResizePad skips both. You get four ways to resize and a live preview of the result, including the new file size, before you download anything.
Four ways to resize
- By size. Type an exact width and height in pixels. Keep "lock aspect ratio" on and the other side fills in for you so the photo never looks stretched.
- By percent. Scale to 50 percent, 25 percent, or any amount with the slider. Handy when you just want "half the size" and do not care about exact pixels.
- Preset. One click snaps the image to a YouTube thumbnail, an Instagram post, an X header, a LinkedIn banner, a Facebook cover, or a passport photo. Choose "cover" to fill and crop, or "fit" to keep the whole image with padding.
- Target KB. Give it a file size like 100 KB and ResizePad searches for the highest quality that still lands under your limit, shrinking the dimensions only if quality alone cannot get there. This is the mode people reach for when a form or portal caps the upload size.
Why the file stays private
Everything runs on your device using the browser's own canvas. That means your photo is never sent anywhere, so it is genuinely private, works offline once the page has loaded, and finishes instantly. It also means there is no account to make and no watermark stamped on the result.
Pick the format that fits
Save as JPG for photos and anything you are uploading to a form, PNG when you need a transparent background, or WebP when you want the smallest file at the same quality. If you save a transparent PNG as a JPG, ResizePad fills the see-through areas with a background color you choose, since JPG cannot store transparency.
Have a whole folder to get through? The bulk image resizer applies one setting to a batch and hands you a ZIP. You can also crop an image, match a social media size, or read how to resize without losing quality.
Frequently asked questions
- Do my images get uploaded to a server?
- No. ResizePad does all the work in your browser using the canvas API. Your image is never uploaded, never stored, and never leaves your device, which is why it is instant and private.
- Will the resized image have a watermark?
- Never. There is no watermark and no signup. You download the plain resized file.
- What image formats can I use?
- You can open JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF files. You can save the result as JPG, PNG, or WebP. PNG and WebP keep transparency, JPG does not.
- How do I resize an image to a specific file size?
- Use the Target KB mode, type a size like 100, and ResizePad finds the highest quality that fits under it, reducing the dimensions only if it has to. There are dedicated pages for 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB, 200 KB, and 500 KB.
